White-eared bulbul resembles in appearance to Himalayan White-cheeked bulbul but it is smaller than Himalayan White-cheeked bulbul and lacks crest.
How does the bird appear…
Head and throat are blackish. Rest of the body is grayish with darker wings. It shows larger white cheek patch and has a pale bare eye-ring. Vent is orange yellow.
Habitat: Where to find this bird?
It inhabits scrub forest and gardenland. It is also found in flocks or pairs in the mangroves.
It feeds on fruits and insects but also takes nectar.
Breeding & Nesting
Breeding season is from March to June.
