Swinhoe’s snipe is also called as forest snipe or Cninese snipe.

How does the bird appear…

It is medium sized wader with long bill. It has cryptically patterned black, brown, buff and white plumage.

Habitat: Where to find this bird?

It inhabits forest glades and meadows during breeding season and shallow water wetlands during non-breeding season.

Food                 

It feeds on earthworms, mollusks and insects.

Breeding & Nesting

It is monogamous. It breeds from May to July.
