Siberian stonechat is also called as Asian stonechat. It breeds in temperate Asia and easternmost Europe.
How does the bird appear…
It has orange underparts and less orange breast. Rump is white.
Male- During breeding season it has dark head and upperparts white collar, scapular patch and a restricted area of orange on the throat.
Female- it has pale brown upper parts and head, white patches on neck and a pale, unstreaked pinkish-yellow rump.
Habitat: Where to find this bird?
It is found in open flat unforested area, at open space in forest, fields etc.
It is insectivorous.
Breeding & Nesting
Breeding season is from end April to late July. Cup shaped nest is placed in thick, long grass or in bush.
