Pulicate Lake and Bird Sanctuary (Andhra Pradesh)


Pulicate Lake and Bird Sanctuary (Andhra Pradesh) is the second largest brackish water ecosystem in India. This sanctuary is known for its migratory birds, especially flamingos.

It also homes around 115 species of water and land birds. One can see variety of aquatic vegetation here.

White ibis, Cormorant, Open billed storks, Reef theron.

Migratory birds:

Marsh sandpiper, Gadwall, Black-tailed godwit, Garganey.
