Phawngpui National Park (Mizoram)


Phawngpui National Park is also known as Phawngpui Blue Mountain National Park. It is located in the Lawngtlai district of Mizoram.

Birds commonly seen:

The park has wonderful range of birds which includes Blyth’s tragopan, Falcon, Sunbirds, Dark-rumped swift, and Mrs. Hume’s pheasant, which is the state bird of Mizoram.

Some rare birds seen are- Mountain bamboo partridge, Oriental pied hornbill, Purple cochoa, Striped laughingthrush, Grey sibia, Black eagle, Large-billed crow etc.

Nearest bus station:

Aizawl is connected by National Highway 54 through Silchar and it can be reached through buses and taxis.
