Oriental white-eye is easily identifiable by its distinctive white eye-ring.
How does the bird appear…
It has yellowish olive upper parts, a white eye ring, yellow throat and vent. Belly is whitish-grey. Both sexes are alike.
Habitat: Where to find this bird?
It inhabits deciduous forest, broadleaf evergreen/semi-evergreen forest and swamp-forest and also forest edge.
It forages in small groups. It is omnivorous and takes seed, fruits, nectar, small buds, insects etc.
Breeding & Nesting
It breeds between February to September but peak is during April. Nest is cup shaped structure placed in fork of branch. Eggs hatch in about 10 days.
