Okhla Bird Sanctuary (Noida, Uttar Pradesh)


Okhla is a dam over Yamuna River. It is situated in Noida, Gautam Budha Nagar district on Delhi- Uttar Pradesh state border. The sanctuary harbours around 300 bird species especially water birds.

Birds commonly seen :

Indian vulture, White – rumped vulture, Baikal teal, Baer’s pochard, Sarus crane, Social lapwing, Indian skimmer, Pall—fish eagle, Lesser adjutant stork, Bristled grass bird, Finn’s weaver, Black- bellied tern, Ferruginous pochard, Grey headed fish eagle etc.

Hazrat Nizamuddin(5 kms).

Nearest metro station:

Sarita Vihar and Apollo Jasola metro station.

November- March
