Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary (Andhra Pradesh)


Nelapattu bird sanctuary is an important breeding site for Spot-billed pelicans. It is situated in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh. Around 187 bird species have been recorded in the sanctuary which include 50 migratory bird species.

Birds commonly seen:

White ibis , Pintail, Common teal, Dabchick, Shoveler, Black-winged stilt, Garganey gadwall etc.
