Nawabganj Bird Sanctuary (Uttar Pradesh)


Nawabganj Bird Sanctuary is situated in Unnao district of Uttar Pradesh. It is home for about 250 bird species.

Birds commonly seen:

Common Resident Birds – Asian Barred Owlet, Common Hoopoe, Spotted owlet, Red Avadavat, Oriental Magpie Robin, Scaly Breasted Munia, Rose Ringed Parakeet, Cotton Pygmy Goose, Yellow Footed Pigeon, Intermediate Egret etc.
Migratory Birds -Common Teal, Gargney, Northern Pinfall, Common Pochard, Red Creasted Pochard, Ferruginous Pochard, Tuffed Poachard, Northern Shovler, Gadwall, Common Coot, Eurasian Wigeon, Marsh Harrier etc.
