Keoladeo National Park was known as Bharatpur bird sanctuary. Over 230 species of birds are known to be resident in this park. The park is also known for migratory birds visiting during winter.

Gadwall, Shoveler, Common teal, Cotton teal, Comb duck, Little cormorant, Great cormorant, Indian shag.

Land birds seen here are:

Warblers, Babblers, Bee-eaters, Bulbuls, Buntings, Quails, Indian grey hornbill, Marshall’s iora.

Birds of prey:

Short-toed eagle, Tawny eagle, Imprerial eagle, Spotted eagle, Crested serpent eagle.
