Grey-throated martin


The grey-throated martin is a small passerine bird in the swallow family.

How does the bird appear…

It has pale-grey throat and breast with whitish belly. Wings are blackish with paler rump. Tail is blackish, square and slightly forked. Sexes are similar in appearance.

Habitat: Where to find this bird?

It is found near water in open habitats such as farmland, grassland, savannah etc.


It feeds on insects but also takes fruits and nectar.
