Large grey babbler is found in India and Nepal. This is highly gregarious bird.

How does the bird appear…

It has brown body.  Forehead is grey with white shaft streaks on the feathers. Outer tail feathers are creamy white, rump and undertail coverts are pale grey.  The wings are darker brown.  Upper mandible is dark brown while the lower mandible is yellowish. The iris is yellow. The lores are dark. The tail is faintly cross barred

Habitat: Where to find this bird?

It inhabits scrub, open forest and garden land.

Food

It forages in flocks. It feeds mainly on insects but also takes grains, nectar and berries, small lizards, mollusks etc

Breeding & Nesting

It breeds from March to September. Nest is shallow cup placed in shrub. The usual clutch is four eggs.
