Coringa Wildlife Sanctuary is located in East Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh. The sanctuary is covered by deciduous forests and mangroves.
The sanctuary is home for about 120 bird species including various endangered and near threatened species.
Birds commonly seen:
Pied kingfisher, Small blue kingfisher, black-capped kingfisher, Reef heron, Little stint etc.
Near threatened bird species- Painted stork, Oriental white ibis, Ferruginous pochard etc.
Critically endangered bird species -white-backed vulture and long billed vulture etc.
