Chintamoni Kar Bird Sanctuary (West Bengal)


The Chintamain Kar Bird Sanctuary lies in South 24-Parganas district of West Bengal. Over 150 species of birds have been recorded at the Sanctuary.

Birds commonly seen:

Black-naped Monarch, Asian Paradise Flycatcher, Common Hawk Cuckoo, Orange-breasted Green Pigeon, Emerald Dove, Streak-throated Woodpecker, Orange-headed Thrush, White-throated Fantail, Crested Serpent Eagle, Large-tailed Nightjar, Ashy Wood swallow, Lineated Barbet, Greater Flameback etc.
