Chimmony Wildlife Sanctuary (Kerala)

Chimmony Wildlife sanctuary is known as National Park, is located along the Western Ghats in Mukundapuram taluk of Thrissur District of Kerala. The sanctuary has evergreen forest trees. Around 190 bird species have been recorded here.

Birds commonly seen:

Black headed bulbul , Indian rufous babbler , White-bellied blue-flycatcher, Darter, Dabchick, Malabar Grey Hornbill, Sri Lankan Frogmouth, Malabar Whistling Thrush, Malabar Trogon, Ruby Throated Bulbul, Crested Serpent Eagle, Spot Bellied Forest Owl, Paradise Flycatcher, Indian Pitta etc.
