Bardoibam Beelmukh Wildlife Sanctuary (Assam)


Bardoibam Beelmukh wildlife sanctuary was established with an aim to protect different species of migratory and endangered birds in Assam.

It is spread between Dhemaji and Lakhimpur districts in Assam. Around 181 bird species have been recorded here.

Birds commonly seen:

Little Grebe, Spotbilled Pelican, Indian Shag, , Chestnut Bittern, Open billed Stork, Greater Adjutant Strok, Lesser Adjutant Stork, Grey Lag Goose, Cotton Teal, Swamp Partridge, Pied Myna etc.
